Hello and welcome to Captured Moments! We are Jen and Cal, a fun and easy-going Photography & Videography duo based in the West Midlands, UK. We are passionate about creatively capturing your wedding day with a documentary and editorial style creating timeless and romantic imagery full of colour and life.

At Captured Moments, we understand that conventional wedding photography and videography isn’t for everyone. We embrace the personalities & style that make each couple special and reflect this in their wedding photos & videos.

As a couple ourselves, we recognise the significance of capturing your wedding day in a manner that is both unique and authentic to you. Our aim is to reflect the essence of your love story with a documentary and editorial approach — combining authentic, emotion-filled moments with artfully curated, creative imagery. Our style combines artistic spontaneity with subtle direction. We know when to step back and let moments unfold naturally, and when to step in to create refined, editorial-worthy imagery.

There are lots of positives that come with hiring a wedding photographer and videographer duo. Firstly, we know how each other works. We seamlessly work together, constantly sharing ideas and inspiration leading up to the wedding and during the day. Secondly, it’s so much easier for you! One company to book instead of two, one video call before the wedding (instead of repeating yourself twice) and you have the peace of mind that on the day you have a team that is well prepared and experienced with working together, they aren’t two strangers meeting for the first time.

We have had the pleasure of capturing so many unique weddings, from Festival themed teepee weddings to Manor House weddings; Rustic English barn weddings; A Gothic styled wedding and even a surprise wedding! We thrive on capturing the individuality and uniqueness that defines you as a couple, highlighting the little details that make your relationship and wedding truly special.

    “I'll be honest - I almost looked over Jen when looking for a wedding photographer. The prices just felt a little too good to be true - surely a full day of photos for well under a grand would mean poor quality? But I was so drawn to her style on her website and Instagram, that I contacted an old friend in the wedding industry who has worked with Jen before and asked for an honest review. Her words? "You definitely won't be disappointed." And how right she was!!

    I think of all the decisions we made about our wedding, asking Jen to be our photographer would be up there as one of the best choices we made. Right from the start, she totally understood the vibe we were going for (demonstrated perfectly when she turned up to our very relaxed, autumnal-themed wedding and said "I'll be back in a second, I'm just going to find some pretty autumn leaves for the flat lays!").

    Many of our guests told me, before we had even seen the photos, that our pictures were going to be lovely; Jen has a special talent for spotting beautiful moments and was always there to capture them without getting in the way, and this didn't go unnoticed.

    Jen took the time to work out what photos were most important to us, and made the effort to ensure these were her priority. I love all the photos she took but there are some in particular that I will treasure forever.

    She was polite, professional and flexible at every stage. My husband and I are very awkward people in front of a camera (we actively avoid them most of the time) but in all the pictures we are laughing and relaxed because Jen didn't force us to do anything and just went along with whatever we were feeling at the time.

    I was very relaxed about the time it may take to get our full album back but Jen still delivered it extremely quickly and kept me updated at every stage.

    I honestly couldn't recommend Jen more. The photos are absolutely stunning, the service was great, she totally blended in and looking through the photos is like re-living the day. Don't be put off by her prices which are so much lower than some others in the industry - with Jen you will get a flawless album of truly professional photos and you won't regret a single penny.

I also shoot on 35mm film!

I absolutely love film photography. It has its own unique look and feel that can’t be recreated in the same way on digital cameras. There’s a magic to it, you don’t know how the photos will look until you get them developed and scanned - and that’s so exciting!

For most weddings I will bring my film cameras and get a couple of snaps throughout the day on film. However, if you also adore the film look and are interested in having a larger quantity of film photos taken throughout your special day please let me know. You can add a whole roll of 35mm film (36 photos) for an additional cost of £35. This covers the price of the film and the development.
