Blake & Hope’s Wedding at the dodford inn.

In November 2024, we captured Blake & Hope’s beautiful autumn wedding at the Dodford Inn. A cosy, intimate venue decorated with fairy lights and quirky decor. We began the day at Hope’s house capturing the bride & bridesmaids preparations, creating a flat-lay with the wedding details, and photographing everyone getting ready for the exciting day ahead of them. We then arrived at the Dodford Inn for final touches; getting the dress on, Blake putting his suit, tie and shoes on and then moved outdoors to capture Blake & Hopes first look. Due to their ceremony being at 3pm, we would have had no daylight for couple portraits, so we suggested the idea of doing a first look before the ceremony. They loved the idea! And I’m so glad we did it because not only did we get some gorgeous, natural lit couple portraits but we also captured the most emotional and heartfelt first look I’d ever seen. As the couple stood back to back, Hope read out her hand written vows & promises to Blake, she then turned around, tapped him on the shoulder and he turned to see her in her wedding attire looking absolutely stunning and immediately sobbed and shared a long hug. After this, it was time for their church ceremony, followed by confetti, group photos and more couple portraits, this time in the dark using flash photography which gave a very cool, editorial vibe, especially using the vintage car they had hired. Back at the Dodford Inn they celebrated with sparklers, speeches, cake cut, first dance, father- daughter dance (which was also incredibly emotional too) and an upbeat mother-daughter dance.) Followed by lots of dancing & partying. We noticed the couple also hired a ‘audio phone guest book’ which guests left messages on, we decided to incorporate this into their wedding video so they could hear the messages along with the visuals.
